Parents and kids can both be around the game, often at the same time, with the older one working on skills while the younger one just plays and a coach keeps a friendly eye on both. For families who want an accompanying adult in on the community side, the Barnside membership covers exactly that. It is also required for any accompanying adult of a member under fourteen, which is less a rule and more an acknowledgment that hockey was always meant to be a shared thing.

Capping membership around 300 people is not a marketing trick, it is the whole point. A real hockey community knows each other, and that gets impossible the moment a place chases volume.
