Who Finds a Home Here

Schedule a Tour
  • The player who wants more.
You get one or two team practices a week and it is never enough. The Barn is where you put in the extra reps, test the move you are not ready to try in a game yet, and stop waiting for permission to get better.
  • The competitor.
For you, development is a daily habit, not something that happens twice a week if the schedule cooperates. Barn Battles and small-area games give you the game speed and the edge you can't manufacture alone.
  • The hockey family.
You all love this game, so why take turns? At The Barn the whole family can be around hockey at the same time, on their own terms, with coaching keeping a friendly eye on the younger ones.
  • The lifelong player.
You still play, you still love it, and you have quietly wanted somewhere that gets that. Evening Barn Battles, the lounge, and a room full of people who speak your language. This is the answer to the question you stopped asking.
  • The one just getting started.
New to the game, coming back after years away, or caught the bug from your kid. You do not have to be good to belong here. You just have to love it, and the rest follows.

Our Ice Surface

Every element of The Hockey Barn has been intentionally selected to provide a high-level experience for our members and coaches. Our ice surface was no exception.

We spent more than two years researching and testing surfaces from around the world. We needed to find a material that could deliver a high-quality skating experience while standing up to the speed, repetition, competition, and daily use it will experience inside The Barn.

What we selected is not a retail product and is not something you can simply order online. It is a German-engineered, self-lubricating polymer surface used in elite training environments throughout Europe and by some of the game’s top players during offseason development.

Most people have never experienced anything like it.

Our ice surface creates consistent, daily opportunities to train, compete, experiment, and play without being limited by traditional ice schedules or availability.

We spent more than two years challenging what was possible. Now, we get to open those possibilities to our entire hockey community.

A Few Answers to Your Questions

  • What is The Hockey Barn’s synthetic ice, and does it feel like natural ice?
Our synthetic ice is unlike anything most players have experienced. After more than two years of research and testing, we selected a premium German-engineered surface that delivers strong glide, edge response, puck movement, and overall performance. Players use their normal hockey skates, and every skating mechanic translates directly from natural ice. Starts, stops, turns, crossovers, and inside- and outside-edge work are performed the same way. Natural ice will always be slightly faster, but most players adjust quickly and are surprised by how naturally the surface performs. The result is a consistent, high-quality environment built for skating, skill development, high-repetition training, and fast-paced competition.
  • Do I need to be an advanced player to use the Training Lab?
Not at all. The Training Lab is designed for players at every stage of their hockey journey. Whether you are learning the fundamentals or refining advanced skills, you can work at your own pace with coaching available to provide guidance, feedback, and the right level of challenge.
  • Is The Hockey Barn designed for the whole family?
Yes. The Hockey Barn was built to create a shared hockey experience for players and families across generations. Parents and children can participate in appropriate programming together, while other family members can enjoy the lounge, community events, and everything happening around the game. The goal is to create a place where the entire family can feel part of the hockey community.
  • What can I do during a typical visit?
Every visit can be different. Members can train in the Training Lab, join Guided Play, compete in Barn Battles, participate in Barn IQ, work independently during FreePlay, or simply spend time in the lounge and around the game. The Hockey Barn is designed so members can choose how they want to Train, Compete, and Belong each time they walk through the doors.
  • What is the difference between the Barnyard Rink and the Training Lab?
The Training Lab is built for focused, high-repetition skill development. The Barnyard Rink is where players put those skills into motion through skating, small-area competition, and game-like situations. Together, they create a more complete development experience.
