The Hockey Barn was founded by Kyle Kinzie.

Kyle has spent more than 40 years in hockey, dedicating nearly three decades to coaching, mentoring, and developing players. His experience as a player, coach, entrepreneur, and hockey parent shaped the vision for an environment that brings together player development, competition, mentorship, and community.

The Hockey Barn began with a simple question:

How do we create a better hockey experience?

Traditional hockey environments are often built around scheduled ice times, isolated training sessions, and a transactional routine. The Hockey Barn was created to offer something more complete: a place where players can develop, compete, experiment, connect, and spend meaningful time around the game.  The goal is not simply to create another place to practice. It is to create an environment where people fall in love with hockey for a lifetime.

The Hockey Barn is led by a team of experienced hockey players, coaches, operators, and community builders.  Our leadership and coaching team includes experience from the Tier I AAA, Junior, College, and Professional levels of the game. Every team member is selected not only for their hockey background, but also for their ability to teach, mentor, communicate, and create a positive environment for members.

Train, Compete, and Belong are the three pillars of The Hockey Barn experience.

Train means developing your skills, hockey IQ, confidence, and understanding of the game.

Compete means putting those skills into action through games, challenges, small-area play, and other competitive experiences.

Belong means being part of a community where players, families, coaches, officials, and fans can connect through a shared love of hockey.

Every visit can include one pillar or any combination of all three.

Unlimited Community Access means every member can participate in the community side of The Hockey Barn without those experiences counting against session limits.  This may include member events, watch parties, social gatherings, community celebrations, hockey discussions, lounge experiences, family activities, partner experiences, and other opportunities to connect around the game.  Session limits apply only to Training and Competing on the Barnyard Rink, in the Training Lab, and through Barn IQ programming.

The Hockey Barn is an approximately 8,200-square-foot indoor hockey playground built for players of all ages and experience levels to train, compete, learn, connect, and enjoy the game.

The facility includes:

• The Training Lab
• The Barn IQ classroom
• A member lounge and outdoor porch
• Men’s and women’s locker rooms
• A pro shop area with complimentary member skate sharpening

Every space is intentionally designed to create a more complete hockey experience and support The Barn’s three pillars: Train. Compete. Belong.

The Hockey Barn is located at 13000 Deerfield Parkway in Milton, Georgia, near GA-400 and Windward Parkway. As a destination hockey facility, we welcome players and families from across Metro Atlanta, North Georgia, and the broader regional hockey community.

Our members come from communities including Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, Johns Creek, Cumming, Suwanee, Sugarloaf, Duluth, Sandy Springs, Marietta, and Kennesaw, as well as counties throughout the region, including Fulton, Forsyth, Cherokee, Cobb, and Gwinnett counties.

A scheduled 30-minute programming block counts as one session.  This can include a 30-minute reservation on the Barnyard Rink, in the Training Lab, or through Barn IQ programming.  A longer visit may include multiple sessions if a member reserves multiple programming blocks. Community events and lounge access do not count as sessions.

Yes.

The Hockey Barn limits membership to protect programming availability, coaching quality, facility access, and the overall member experience.  The goal is not to place as many people as possible inside the facility. It is to create the right environment for the members who join.  Once membership reaches capacity, a waitlist may be established.

Yes.

A parent, guardian, or responsible adult membership is required for members under age 14.  The adult does not need to participate in session-basedr programming and may select a Barnside membership if they primarily want to support the younger member and participate in the community side of The Hockey Barn.

Eligible memberships may be transferred to another person within the same household after at least 120 active days of membership and authorization from The Hockey Barn management staff.  Transferred memberships will be handled on an exception-only basis.  A maximum of two household transfers may be permitted within a 12-month period.   All transfers are subject to the current membership agreement and transfer policy.

Some specialty clinics, camps, introductory programs, guest-coach events, public events, and community experiences may be open to non-members.  Availability and pricing will vary by program. Regular member programming and member-only events require an active membership or approved guest access.
